Coordinator between the board members and oversees the functioning of the board. The Chairperson takes final decisions on matters and attends all official events and meetings.

Mike Batley
Manages the budget and oversees the audit of the Association’s financial statements and presents to the members of the Association at the Annual General Meeting.

Adoption Chairperson:
Jeevanthri Pillay
Addresses concerns with adoptions in private practice and lobbies with the relevant department and the public.

Council Liaison Desk:
Dr. Ilna Kruger
Liaises with the Council and advocates for membership issues.

Ethics Chairperson:
Mike Batley
The committee leads, guides and maintains ethical standards of practice and protects the interests of clients, social workers and the public.

ClinMed Chairperson:
Pierre Matthee
This committee represents our professions to the medical schemes and lobbies for better pricing of codes as well as for new codes. They also attend medical scheme meetings to do with professional codes.
Has an advisory role to members on clinical and health matters.

Membership Chairperson:

Upholds SAASWIPP’s standards in assessing membership applications.
