- Face to Face
Most of my experience as a social worker has focussed on assisting the elderly and their families. Families often feel overwhelmed by the changes that accompany the process of ageing. I am able to provide emotional support to the elderly and their families as well as assist in finding suitable resources to help them. Post diagnostic counselling is an important part of the support I provide
I have experience in helping families approach end-of-life issues in a supportive and empathic space. Often families need assistance and support in confronting difficult decisions relating to end-of-life issues. I believe that my gentle approach is helpful in these situations
Working in a group practice with two psychiatrists, four clinical psychologists, two neuropsychologists, two occupational therapists and two community psychiatric nursing sisters I have the opportunity to work with clients of all ages and challenges.
