Kirsten Thomson has been a social worker for 23 years, with a specific focus on trauma and its impact on individuals and communities. She has a Bachelors of Social Science (Social work) degree; Bachelor of Social Science (Social Work; Honours); Masters in Social Work and a post-graduate diploma in Human Givens (solution focused brief therapy and mind body links). Kirsten has done further training in trauma and grief support, and individual and team development processes (including the Enneagram). Kirsten has experience in working with NGOs, research institutes, government departments and private work in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Northern Ireland. Her skills include therapeutic counselling, training/facilitation, management and community development. Kirsten is passionate about developing effective systems and resources to enhance people’s and communities’ lives.
