Lizette Labuschagne is a registered social worker with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (10-24653) working in private practice with fourteen (14) years experience in the field of family and childcare. She obtained her BA (Psychology) degree in 2005 at the University of Johannesburg. During 2005 she also completed her Honors degree in Social Work at the University of Johannesburg. In 2009 she obtained a Masters degree, MA (Clinical Social Work), at the University of Johannesburg. In 2013 Lizette Labuschagne successfully completed a second Masters degree in Social Work Forensic Practice (Cum laude) at the North-West University (Potchefstroom campus).
In February 2018 Lizette Labuschagne registered with the North-West University (Potchefstroom campus) to commence with her PhD in Social Work, the focus of her research being on forensic practice.
Lizette Labuschagne is an accredited member of SAASWIPP (800108) and is the co-facilitator of a Professional Forensic and Therapeutic Supervision and Support Group that meets on a monthly basis for professional development and support.
For the eleven (12) years Lizette Labuschagne worked as a private social worker in her private practice focusing on the evaluation of and therapy with children and families.
Services include: Socio-emotional evaluations of children, forensic evaluations and investigations with regards to allegations of physical and sexual abuse, family evaluations and monitoring in primary residency / care and contact matters, interactional analysis and the evaluation of attachment, supervised visitation as well as expert testimony in criminal and custody matters.
