SAASWIPP is governed by a dedicated leadership team committed to ethical oversight, strategic direction, and operational excellence. Each member of the governance team plays a distinct and vital role in ensuring that the organisation serves its members effectively and remains aligned with its mission to advance private practice social work in South Africa. ​

The governance team of SAASWIPP is led by the Chairperson, who provides strategic leadership and overall oversight of the organisation. The Chairperson guides the direction of SAASWIPP and ensures alignment with its mission and vision.

Supporting the Chairperson is the Vice-Chairperson, who assists in fulfilling leadership duties and takes on key responsibilities when the Chairperson is unavailable. ​

The Treasurer is responsible for overseeing the financial health of the organisation, managing budgets, and ensuring financial transparency and accountability. ​

The Executive Director manages the daily operations of SAASWIPP and is tasked with implementing strategic decisions made by the governance team. This role ensures that programs and initiatives are executed effectively.

The Legal Advisor provides guidance on legal and compliance matters, helping to safeguard the organisation and ensure it operates within the bounds of relevant legislation and regulations.
