Thank you for your interest in joining the South African Association of Social Workers in Private Practice (SAASWIPP)! ​

Becoming a member connects you to a supportive network of professionals, access to valuable resources, opportunities for continued growth in private practice, and access to affordable professional indemnity insurance. To help you get started, we’ve outlined the simple step-by-step process to complete your membership application.​

Step 1: Create a Profile. Start by creating your personal profile. Once completed, you will be registered as a Friend of SAASWIPP. This means your details are now on our database, and you’ll begin receiving general communication from us. ​

Step 2: Log In using the credentials you provided during profile creation. ​

Step 3: Apply for Membership. Once logged in, you will see three options. Select “Become a Member” to begin your membership application. ​

Step 4: Accept the Terms and Conditions. Read and accept the terms and conditions to proceed. ​

Step 5: Complete Your Application. A new window will open. Please follow the prompts to: ​

• Upload your personal and professional details ​
• Choose your membership type ​
• Upload any required supporting documents ​
• Pay the applicable fee via our secure online payment system. Please note that EFTs will not be accepted unless previous arrangements have been made ​

Your application will then enter the review phase. Our administrative team will verify your documents, after which it will ensure you meet the membership criteria. Please allow up to a month for your membership to be reviewed. ​​

We may contact you to request additional documentation or to inform you if your application does not meet the necessary requirements. ​

Step 6: Welcome! Once your application is approved, you’ll receive a Welcome Pack with everything you need to know as a new SAASWIPP member.​
