I graduated from the University of Stellenbosch with a BA Social Work degree in 1980.  I worked at a variety of NGO's, a Psychiatric Hospital, and in a mine and school setting.  I completed a Masters Degree in Social Science at the then University of Bophuthatswana (now the Mafikeng Campus of the University of the North West).  I lectured at this university where I specialized in curriculum building for social work in developing countries.  I have been in private practice since 2000.
