I am an experienced Social Worker in private practice, with the desire to see people manage life’s challenges. Whether one is dealing with the stress of modern living, anxiety, depression, significant life events, relationships or parenting issues, the opportunity to explore the challenge in a safe space can make for real change in one’s life.
Social workers are professionals who are trained to help people assess the issues causing them distress, and work to bring about change. Social workers are trained to find the balance between practical life management whilst remaining aware of more complex psychological issues.
My aim is to provide a supportive and safe space where people can explore different ways of bringing about change in their lives. I'm also a human, with my own challenges, so I value a non-judgmental attitude. I have an eclectic practice framework as each person has different needs. I value a client centered approach and find that Cognitive Behavioural Therapy tools can be used effectively to move people towards their goals.
