- Face to Face
The Covid19 pandemic has left many feeling anxious and afraid. The sudden changes to our way of life, fears of being infected with a virus or dying are layered on top of other stresses. This can exacerbate and make the experience overwhelming.
I have counselled people whose complex circumstances make negotiating traumatic experiences, like grieving, particularly difficult and overwhelming. I have also worked with people after a person committed suicide or died in a traumatic or violent way. I work with people who have experienced many other forms of loss or trauma.
Where there has been a corporate experience of trauma, grief or loss I offer group sessions for families, colleagues and large companies.
Everyone responds differently to stress, grief and uncertainty. Recognising that you need help and asking for it is an important first step to take.
If you are feeling overwhelmed, depressed or anxious please contact me.
Face-to-Face or Online
My practice is based in Claremont and I continue to offer personalised counselling. I now also work online using Skype, Zoom or WhatsApp (whatever is easiest for you).
How it works:
All sessions are 55 minutes in length. After the initial session, I will advise on a counselling plan to suit your needs. This may involve weekly, fortnightly or monthly sessions. The agreed counselling plan is reviewed regularly.
My fees are set at the medical aid rate of R545.30 per session. Payment within 24 hours of session must be made by EFT. Medical aid reimbursement is the client's responsibility.
I am registered with the Board of Health Care Funders (BHF: 089 000 0260924) which medical aids require prior to authorising payment for counselling.
